Update 136-01
Update 136-01
V-Tech
17th April
4:43 PM

Hello! My apologies for not blogging more. In my life (Or lack thereof), I've been incredibly busy; yes, even by Amerikan standards. Right now, I've reached the 'video guy' Stage II of my school. People are chasing me for multiple video projects and filming their events. SIGHS. I've wondered why in Singapore, and I'll wonder why again here: What the hell am I doing? Anyhow, it does keep me busy and my mind off Singapore. I guess that helps me immensely. It's relatively fun and satisfying anyway. Well, so I tell myself.

I assume by this point in time everyone know about the crazy shooting that happened in V-Tech, Virgina. My deepest condolences go out to the many victims of the massacre, but one thing in particular struck me the most. Forgive my ignorance and ethnocentrism here, but of all things, the guy that shot up the place had to be a Chinaman. Well, not really; he was a Korean guy (I can imagine all the Japs & Chinese going 'Phew'). They originally thought he was a Chinaman last night. I swear it was one of those 'All ya'll look alike...' scenarios.

I'm not Korean but the point is that now there's this added stereotype of Asians being crazy gunmen. Thank goodness my campus has so many Asians so I didn't feel too awkward. I'd hate to be one or two token Asians in friggin Montana or Wyoming. Can you imagine the awkward stares and suspicious sideways glances... a.k.a "The Treatment" the next day?

Now, they're going to be uber strict about who they let into the States, perform psycho-checks on people, and maybe even force us into concentration camps like they did to the japs during WWII. GREAT. On a more practical note, I think I'll lay off my gun craze for awhile.

Well, on the bright side (If there is one), at least people will stop thinking of all Chinamen as backbone-less, obedient, and respectful pansies. Now, all I have to do next time in a heated argument with anyone is just reach into my bag/shirt and everyone will be scared shitless. Muhahaha. Okay nevermind.

Update 135-01
Update 135-01
Auditions I
15th April
10:03 AM

A new quarter term has just started and everything's heating up. Unfortunately, my professors this quarter kind of suck. Unlike this guy:

(Funny stuff starts halfway through)

My apologies for not ranting more regularly. I guess after living here for some time now, nothing in Amerika is *that* much of a novelty anymore. Though I do have some weird stuff happening occasionally. Therefore, in order to compensate for my boredom and increasing rigidity of life here, I decided to hold some auditions again just for next film kicks. After all, it's been some time since my sadistic quota has been met ever since Jeff and his guns left for HK. Yes, I made them sign this rather interesting clause:

"We are not liable, and cannot be held accountable in a court of law for any on-set fatalities/injuries, or other legal troubles that might occur on-set."

We got some pretty... Interesting... Characters... Including Paris Hilton:

Eccentric professor guy

Drill Sergeant!

And a whole host of other interesting people:

We even got a Russian/Eastern European guy that had served with the French Foreign Legion! How cool! Bah I have so many photos; can't put em all up. We got about 36 people auditioning - Which is pretty good considering it was Easter. (Don't worry, I held it after church) Still, either they're all atheistic or my audition was just so damn good they had to come down....

Update 134-01
Update 134-01
Grades
6th April
9:04 PM

In case you peeps are wondering why I haven't updated for so long, it's because I was sorta wondering if anyone still reads the plog anymore. Well, the new quarter has started and I'm doing really retarded subjects this time: Geology, Environmental Science, English, 20th Century History, and Politics of the Underdeveloped World.

Unfortunately, I got a B (Psychology), B+(English), and As for the rest of my subjects last term. Bah. The thing is, I can't BS my Psychology paper and the English Prof can sorta see through my BS too. Sighs. Ironically enough, the day I found out about my rather bad results, a letter arrived at my house telling me I was bestowed the supposedly prestigious National Dean's List Award. I half expected them to be using some sort of ploy to get ex-straight A students to pay a subscription/membership fee or something, but it was surprisingly free. Even more interesting was the fact that this award is only given to the top 0.5% of all American college students.

This after I got 2 Bs. Hmmph. I've said it before and I shall say it again: Either I must be damn smart or Americans are damn friggin stupid.

Another ironic case in point: Singapore, a country with less than 50% Christians, has a 2-day holidy for Easter and Good Friday. America, a supposed Christian country, doesn't at all!

Meanwhile, THIS scene became familiar.

My slept over again last night to do editing. Movie is still not done. Damnit.

Oh yes, before I forget: In my Politics of the Underdeveloped World Class, I convinced my Professor after an adamant argument that Singapore is still a third world country.
