Update 24-01
Update of CAS meeting details & BLT's Beijing OEP Trip
29th Apr 2006
8:00 PM

Just came back from Beijing, China on the Window on the World Overseas Education Program and a 24 hour 'nap after coming back at 6 AM on Friday. Had a pretty awesome time there. Wouldn't have missed it for the world. Brought back some...*Ahem*...Cool props and stuff of questionable nature. Am quite happy although some of them got broken in mid-flight. Oh well. Enjoy the photos I've attached for the sake of being random and maintaining viewership (If any). Anyhow, I shalln't go into personal stuff here, being a Production Log and all so this update is just to let ya'll know that there'll be a DEFINITE (Means its on unless some random activity pops up) 2 weeks from now (The one with an allocated CAS period). By the way, if anyone has any idea with regards to what we should do for our post vault gathering, preferably before the June hols, please let me know. Thanks.

Oh before I forgot, for all SWAT members, please note that you're invited to compete at the annual CosPlay Convention on July the 6th, Sunday, from 1 PM to 6 PM. It sounds quite cheesy but its a pretty big affair every year with media (ChannelNewsAsia) and magazine (One of those decadent local ones) coverage as well as quite a bit of other publicity for future productions. We're basically tieing in with MovieMania Productions, the ONLY movie props-costumes company in Singapore, to compete in the StageWorks category for first prize. All we have to do is bust in, look cool, and then die (Usual stuff). There may be one or two rehearsals but it definately wont be as intense as CenterStage. Will be quite fun and common tests should be over by then. Will update ya as time goes on...

With regards to BLINDED, its been choosen as an official selection of the Kids With Cameras Photo & Video Festival 2006 to get screened and compete for first prize. This doesn't mean much apart from the fact that we didn't get outright rejected and are now pseudo-finalists. On the home fort, we didn't make it for Singapore International Film Festival but apparently the judges 'dig' our film (And even screened it - Though I wasn't informed.) Substation has picked it up and may screen it as a part of one of their programs, First Take. Unfortunately, I can't release any more details now cuz they haven't even annouced it officially yet. Keep your fingers crossed. Anyway till the next update, please enjoy the random photos of OEP 2006 to Beijing below.
