Update 119-01
Update 119-01
Business
5th January 2007
8:31 PMWell, the new year has gotten off to a pretty intense start. I'm doing Psychology, American Politics, English, Modern Political Ideologies, and 'Evil' (Some philosophy class). Things have lifted off the ground pretty quickly at I'm pretty sure this quarter isn't going to be a walk in the park like last term's was; thankfully, my hours are slightly better this time around. Just a few days ago we went down to LA to meet Dan The Man for some great Cuban food. For those of you that don't know, Dan The Man got into Purdue University (Famous Engineering college) at 16 like me and does all the fancy titles you've seen in productions dating back to the Vendetta days 3 years ago. Thanks for everything Dan! It was great meeting up after so long.
Oh and before I forget,
Orientation Video II is up. Enjoy. Frankly, I felt
last year's was better (But maybe that was because I handled it personally) haha! Man, I still can't believe that a year has already passed since we made the 06 Orientation Video. Seems cliched, but it seems like it was only yesterday. Sighs.
This is so wierd but I have been subconciously wearing last year's Orientation T-Shirt. I've been wearing it for a week until my mum pointed it out today... Talk about coincidental... And overt sentimentalization. Gah.
That aside, down to business.... Literally. Just a few days ago, I started my own company that's fully legitimate and official. I just got my license yesterday and am now a legally certified videography and photography service provider in the region with a business ownership under my belt. It cost me a fair bit of time and money but I managed to get the permit eventually. Yipee. That's one New Year's resolution down – I'm not even going to bother counting how many are left to go cuz I'll probably not complete them =S
Several of you have asked me about CAS so I'll live up to my promise. If all cast and crew could check your e-mails it would be great. If not, you can get the links here. Anyway, I trust you've been having a great time this year slaving your butt of for the Admin. Well, to help you in your struggle against an evil dictatorship rife with tyranny, oppression, and corruption, allow me to present to you CAS HOURS FOR COUNTDOWN.
Anyway, for those of you who do know what I'm ranting about, this letter should alleviate your IA, EE, TOK, CAS rushings significantly. Please find links at the bottom of this page to the Personnel List, CAS Weekly Attendance List, Proposal Form, and AEP Documentation. If you actually did contribute to Countdown (Real or Imagined) through.... Umm... Moral support... Or giving BLT a pat on the back when he needed it on those rare occasions, then you can go ahead and allocate yourself some CAS hours. Who the hell's counting anyway?
I filled out all the forms already with my own nonsense just to give you an idea of what the Evil Admin wants from you. Don't copy what I said exactly cuz that is 'Oh Em Gee' Plagiarism and might get you exiled *cough* I meant... Expelled... Rather, be a smart kid and paraphrase. Obviously, not all of you turned up for each and every meeting I jotted down on the Weekly Attendance List. The MAXIMUM hours you can claim is 107. I actually DID put in that many hours, FYI.
If you think you got any more than 107 then you are either extremely hardworking or one desperate/dishonest bastard. Anyway, what do I care? Just put on your Excel Sheet those meetings you think you attended... Or even those you can't quite remember whether or not you attended but just think you did after getting wasted from an overdose of beer. Conversely, if you already have enough CAS hours by now and don't need this, then donate it to someone else who does. For the AEP form, just bullshit your way through saying how great Countdown was and how much you improved/became from violent as a result of it. Feel free to paraphrase whatever crap I wrote down.
When that's all done, just print it out, staple it together nicely, and hunt down Jamie Tan. Once/If you find her, remind her that she once used to know a poor sod by the name of BLT who was promised CAS hours for this movie. You might want to pass it to one representative who can give it to her to sign all at once rather than hand it to her individually. I think she'll appreciate the latter much more. For those of you in The Vault, put the documents in that nice green folder I bought for ya'll to give it an added edge in the presentation department.
Alright that is about all... And probably the last I have to say about Countdown. I'll update you if anything else pops up or any other situations arise. Until we next meet again, I would like to again extend my sincerest and heartfelt thanks to all of you who have made this production the magnificent, stunning, and masterpiece that it really is. Words cannot describe how touched by the support, generosity, and courage each and every one of you exhibited throughout the course of this endeavor. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the best of luck this year and hope ya'll have a great time of fellowship and camaraderie together in what I guarantee will be one of the best years of your life.
