Horrible, horrible day. Mdm Dharma was supposed to pass us the money today but in the end we didn't get it. Although she was nice enough to try to wire her own money over to us via bank account (That didn't work out either), we couldn't do alot of the logistical purchases we were scheduled to do today. Ben Soh and I have spent about $1,000 collectively and are now completely out of cash.

In the end, we did manage to buy a 1000W light which burns everything in a radius of 10 CM. The light is only the length and width of 2 fingers but the power is amazing. The damn thing is so hot that theres a fan inside. According to the dealer, if anyone touches it immediately after its been on (even though its off), he or she would lose a finger (maybe 2). Its quite scary sometimes cuz the thing gets so hot it seems it wants to burn ITSELF up too.

Apart from that, Jeff passed me this really really really old camera from the 1980s which must have at least cost $10k in its lifetime. Looking like an aged predecessor of our schools Sony PD107, it seems rather professional.

Bad news on other fronts. The school's Media Productions has quite frankly screwed us over because of the camera. They are refusing to lend us a camera during the 9th, 10th, and 12th shoots. Its not surprising considering they take us to be competitors and I understand the rivalry between the both of us but it is indeed disappointing that they would stoop this low to spite us. I subsequently e-mailed every single independent film company in Singapore to enquire about borrowing a camera. Lets home we get some positive results - Otherwise we're screwed. By the way, what kind of food does everyone want to eat on Wednesday & Thursday?
